Looking for Emergency Dental Service?
Unless you have Insurance at the time of the emergency, it is usually not an option. Dental Patients can save even more on the dental emergency treatment by joining the discount dental plan before going to the dental appointment. Normally with a Discounted Dental Plan you are able to get in to see the Dentist within 24 hours in cases od dental emergencies.
How Dental Insurance works:
Discount Plans has been around for a long time, but many consumers do not understand the difference between discounted plans and insurance. With insurance the patient pays a monthly premium, typically $50 – $150 or more per month. The Dentist is usually paid by the Dental Insurance Company on the dental treatment is completed. Many dental insurance programs have deductibles of $100 or more. Once the deductible is met, the company will typically pay out between 50-80% of the bill, and that will vary depending on the type of dental procedure.
With insurance there are usually exemptions, where certain types of costly procedures are no covered, such as braces or cosmetic procedures. With certain costly dental treaments you may have to wait before having those treatments performed. Dental Insurance is limited by annual caps on dental services you can receive. Without limits, exclusions and caps on the dental services the Dental Insurance Company would quickly go out of buisness.
A Better Option:
One of the options to consumers is the Discount Plan. Certain companies are now jumping on board the dental discount wagon by offer these types of plans too. With discounted dental plans the member pays less. Discounted Dental Plans have a network of private paractice Dentists who are willing to provide a discount to plan members.
What’s in it for a Dentist to give a discount for their services? The Dentist is able to provide discounts, in return for prompt payment at the time of service. The Dental Discount Plan Patient pays at the time of service eliminated any dental insurance hassles. There is no paperwork. The advertising costs for the dental office are eliminated with because of the dental referral services provided by the dental plan company.
In most areas of the US, discount plan members can receive up to 80% on dental services. The exact amount depends on the treatment. It;s a win win situation for both the dental plan member and Dentist.
