Even a degree in emergency dental treatment will not guarantee that your boss will know how to be polite. Common decency is becoming more and more uncommon in today’s job market.
Which makes it all the better for you if you can learn how to be tactful and polite to your clients, co-workers and boss. One way people do this is think about the world in a hundred years’ time. In a hundred years time, will this aggravating person be so much of a bother then? Thinking of their skeletons of urns full of ashes can help curb even the smartest of remarks and maybe even put a smile on your face.
People Skills
People do not come to an emergency dental clinic in order to have a good time. When they arrive, they are often in a panic, in terrible pain and are frightened. You learn right away that you can’t take anything these people say or do personally. You learn to put yourself in their shoes and realize that they are so frightened and hurt that they do not know what they are doing. Often, they apologize and that helps deepen compassion in your workplace and community.
